Recent National Weather Service and model guidance indicate a post-frontal cool-down for September 11, with northwest winds advecting drier, cooler air behind a weak front, producing forecast highs centered on 78–80 °F for Central Park. This places the market’s leading 78–79 °F, 76–77 °F, and 80–81 °F bins in close contention, reflecting small differences in boundary-layer mixing, cloud cover, and exact timing of the coolest air mass. Historical September averages near 78 °F provide context, while the narrow spread of outcomes underscores limited forecast spread just 48 hours out. Updated model runs and the next NWS forecast discussion are the key near-term catalysts likely to shift implied probabilities.
