Recent National Weather Service and model consensus forecasts point to a September 10 high in New York City near 86–88°F, driven by southerly flow ahead of a weak frontal passage that favors warm-air advection while increasing cloud cover and a 20–30% chance of light showers. These conditions typically cap afternoon temperatures below peak late-summer values but still above the early-September climatological average of roughly 80°F at Central Park. Updated runs show limited diurnal heating under mostly cloudy skies and modest west-to-northwest winds, keeping the distribution tightly centered on the 86–89°F bins that dominate current market-implied odds. No major forecast shifts have occurred in the past 24 hours, supporting trader positioning around the mid-to-upper 80s outcome.
