Recent National Weather Service forecasts and model consensus point to a cooling trend for Los Angeles on September 11, following an extreme heat episode driven by a strong high-pressure ridge and residual moisture from former Hurricane Marie. Onshore flow and marine layer influence are expected to moderate afternoon highs into the low-to-mid 80s range, with official point forecasts centering near 84–91 °F depending on exact urban versus coastal measurement. This positions the 82–83 °F and 80–81 °F bins as market leaders, reflecting trader assessment of sea-breeze timing, cloud cover, and potential model spread in boundary-layer mixing. Historical September averages near 76 °F underscore the anomalous warmth still possible, while resolution hinges on the official high reported for the designated station.
