Recent polling averages place President Trump's job approval near multi-month lows around 37-40% amid net negatives on prices, foreign policy, and border security, with the Iran conflict and related economic pressures cited as sustained drags in surveys through late August. Weekly shifts have been modest, with some trackers showing minor stabilization or slight rebounds from deeper dips while others register flat or incremental declines, leaving room for either direction in the near term. Trader consensus reflects this balance, as no single catalyst has produced a decisive weekly move. Potential tipping points include fresh data on inflation or gasoline costs, diplomatic or military updates on Iran, trade developments, or major policy announcements that could shift issue-specific sentiment before the week's polls close.
