Silver prices around $64–65 per ounce reflect robust industrial demand from solar, EVs, electronics, and AI data centers amid persistent global supply deficits, while safe-haven flows tied to geopolitical tensions provide additional support. Recent tame July CPI and PPI prints have tempered near-term rate-cut expectations, supporting a firmer U.S. dollar that caps upside, though trader positioning shows large specs remaining bullish. The gold-silver ratio near 68 highlights silver’s higher beta to both macro shifts and physical buying. Key near-term catalysts include upcoming FOMC communications, August inflation releases, and any escalation in trade or geopolitical developments that could alter risk appetite and monetary-policy paths.
