Escobar and Kittay face Riedi and Rocha in the round of 16 of the 2026 Lexus Ilkley Open, an ATP Challenger 125 event on outdoor grass courts in the UK. Escobar, an Ecuadorian doubles specialist with a career-high ranking of No. 38 and recent top-85 standing, brings substantial experience on the surface, while American partner Kittay adds youth to the pairing. Riedi, a Swiss player ranked around No. 117-120 in singles, pairs with Brazilian Rocha in a matchup that tests serve-volley tactics and quick adaptation typical of grass. The grass-court swing leading into Wimbledon highlights recent form on fast surfaces, team chemistry, and any late roster or fitness updates as primary variables influencing outcomes.
