Long-range outlooks for early August place typical highs near 95–97°F, so current conditions reflect a modest heat anomaly without extreme amplification. Minor model disagreements on peak timing and moisture return keep the two leading bins nearly even, with higher bins discounted unless a stronger downslope or clearer signal emerges in the final 24 hours.
