Recent GFS and ensemble model runs position 31–33°C as the leading outcomes for Milan’s September 7 maximum, with light southeast winds, clear skies, and a stable high-pressure ridge limiting daytime mixing and supporting peak readings near 32°C. Current observations show a warm air mass already producing highs of 33–35°C on September 5–6, and short-range guidance indicates only modest cooling ahead of frontal passage later in the week. These conditions align with the market’s heavy weighting toward 32°C (43.5%) and 31°C (32.5%), while lower probabilities for 34°C+ reflect limited model support for further intensification. Updated ECMWF and GFS runs expected in the next 24–48 hours will provide the next key data points for traders.
