Forecast models from the National Weather Service and private sources indicate Miami's September 7 high will likely reach the upper 80s to near 90°F before afternoon thunderstorms and sea-breeze effects cap further warming, aligning with the market's heaviest weighting on 90-91°F. Persistent high humidity, light variable winds, and typical late-summer convective patterns in South Florida historically limit daily maxima during such setups, with recent early-September observations showing similar 89-93°F peaks before storms developed. Updated model runs emphasize an 80% storm probability after midday, increasing the chance the official high falls into the 88-90°F range rather than exceeding 92°F.
