Official National Weather Service observations from Miami International Airport recorded a minimum temperature of 78°F on September 8, 2026, at 5:25 a.m. local time, aligning precisely with the market's 100% consensus on the 78-79°F bin. This reading, one degree above the 1991-2020 climatological normal of 77°F, reflects typical early-September conditions in South Florida dominated by high humidity, light winds, and limited nocturnal radiational cooling under partly cloudy skies. Historical analogs show September lows rarely dip below 70°F in recent decades, reinforcing the outcome's alignment with verified station data rather than model projections. Realistic challenges remain narrow, such as post hoc quality-control revisions to the raw observation or discrepancies between airport and urban microclimate stations, though such adjustments are uncommon once preliminary climatological reports are issued.
