Current model consensus from DWD and ECMWF ensembles shows a cold front advancing across southern Germany on September 9, bringing widespread cloud cover, showers, and westerly winds that limit daytime heating after September 8 highs near 31°C. This setup favors a daily maximum in the low 20s°C, aligning with the market's near-even implied probabilities for 21°C and 22°C. Historical climatology places the September 9 average high at 20.7°C, and recent runs indicate modest uncertainty from precipitation timing and cloud thickness, which could trim or sustain the peak by 1–2°C. Traders are monitoring the next high-resolution model updates for clearer resolution signals.
