Persistent heatwave conditions across Southern California are keeping overnight lows elevated in Los Angeles on September 9, with National Weather Service forecasts indicating minimum temperatures in the mid-70s as clear skies and weak onshore flow limit radiational cooling. Recent model guidance from NOAA shows the daily low likely settling between 74°F and 77°F, consistent with the prior night's observed minimum near 74°F amid ongoing extreme heat. This marine-influenced coastal regime, combined with above-normal sea surface temperatures, reduces the typical diurnal drop and positions the 72–77°F range as the market's strongest cluster, while colder outcomes remain improbable absent an unexpected surge of cooler air. Updated NWS briefings and hourly observations through the night will provide the final resolution data.
