Recent National Weather Service forecasts and model runs indicate a strong heat wave building across Los Angeles, with sunny skies, light winds, and temperatures 15–20°F above the 76.5°F September 9 climatological average driving the market toward the 88–91°F range. Offshore flow and reduced marine layer influence are expected to allow peak heating midday on September 9, though exact values depend on whether observations are taken at downtown or coastal stations like LAX, where sea breezes may cap readings slightly lower. Trader consensus reflects high model agreement on these conditions ahead of the final forecast updates, tempered by typical short-term variability in boundary-layer mixing and any late-day cloud development.
