Persistent southerly flow and elevated dew points near 70°F are sustaining overnight warmth across the Dallas-Fort Worth area, with National Weather Service guidance and multiple model runs pointing to a low in the upper 70s on September 10. This aligns with the market’s tight clustering around 78–81°F outcomes, as a strong subtropical ridge suppresses radiational cooling and limits any surge of drier continental air. Recent observations from DFW Airport show the prior night’s minimum at 82°F, reinforcing trader expectations that temperatures will remain well above the long-term average low of 72°F. Scattered afternoon thunderstorms may briefly enhance cloud cover but are unlikely to alter the minimum, with next model updates from the NHC and local offices offering the clearest near-term signal for any downward revision.
