Persistent monsoon activity across eastern Uttar Pradesh, driven by a trough line drawing moisture from the Bay of Bengal, is moderating maximum temperatures in Lucknow ahead of September 6. Official forecasts from the India Meteorological Department and numerical models indicate widespread cloud cover, scattered thundershowers, and high humidity that limit solar heating and promote evaporative cooling, keeping daytime highs clustered near 29–31 °C. Recent observations show daily maxima running 1–3 °C below normal amid frequent rainfall, consistent with September climatology during active monsoon phases. Trader sentiment remains closely divided among the 29 °C, 30 °C, and 31 °C outcomes because small differences in storm timing, cloud thickness, or localized clearing can shift the daily peak by 1–2 °C within the narrow resolution thresholds. Updated model runs and IMD briefings over the next 48 hours will provide the key data points for refining these probabilities.
