**Persistent cloud cover, high humidity, and thunderstorm activity are keeping overnight radiative cooling limited in Kuala Lumpur, supporting elevated minimum temperatures around 25–27°C on September 9.** Official forecasts from METMalaysia and multiple models show expected lows near 24–26°C under mostly cloudy to overcast skies with frequent showers, consistent with the Southwest Monsoon pattern and emerging El Niño influences that can suppress clear-night cooling. Historical September averages for the city hover near 23–24°C, but current dew points near 24–25°C and light winds limit the diurnal drop, aligning with the market’s heavy weighting toward 27°C (67%) followed by 25–26°C outcomes. Traders appear to be pricing in the latest model consensus favoring a warmer-than-climatological minimum rather than rare cooler excursions.
