xAI's latest Grok 4.3 large language model, rolled out in mid-April 2026, has not published an official score on Epoch AI's FrontierMath benchmark—a rigorous test of research-level mathematical reasoning across unpublished problems in tiers from undergraduate to open research challenges—prompting trader uncertainty ahead of the June 30 deadline. Third-party evaluations place prior Grok 4 variants around 14%, trailing OpenAI's GPT-5.4 leader at 48% on the overall leaderboard, highlighting competitive gaps in advanced math capabilities despite Grok topping recent coding agent benchmarks like PinchBench. xAI's rapid iteration, including upcoming model retirements on May 15 and potential Grok 5 previews, could drive sentiment shifts, but no FrontierMath-specific announcements have emerged in the past month.
