The 39-year-old, who secured his Tour Card earlier in the year, has posted multiple deep runs in recent events, including last-16 appearances and competitive wins against established names. In contrast, 55-year-old Andrew Gilding, despite claiming his maiden ProTour title at Players Championship 16 in May and reaching other finals, has shown inconsistency in subsequent outings with several early exits. Sneyd's sharper recent scoring and finishing in short-format legs appear to outweigh Gilding's greater experience and UK Open pedigree in the current market consensus.
