Ford secured the Democratic nomination in June with 63.8 percent statewide and 55 percent in Washoe against Alexis Hill, setting up a November 3 general election matchup against incumbent Republican Joe Lombardo, who won his primary with over 90 percent. Statewide polls show Lombardo leading by roughly four points on average, but Washoe's voting patterns and the absence of major recent shifts since the primaries have positioned Ford as the favored county winner. The race remains competitive overall, with turnout and economic messaging likely to influence final margins in this key battleground county.
