The Berlin state election on September 20, 2026, will determine the next Abgeordnetenhaus and governing mayor through coalition negotiations rather than direct vote. Recent polling shows fragmented support across CDU, SPD, Greens, Die Linke, and AfD, with no party securing a clear path to a majority. Trader consensus remains tight following Kai Wegner's July withdrawal as CDU lead candidate over handling of a major power outage, replaced by Finance Senator Stefan Evers. Elif Eralp (Die Linke) holds a slight edge in some market pricing amid her focus on housing and cost-of-living issues, while Werner Graf (Greens) and others trail. Upcoming campaign events and coalition signals in the final weeks could shift implied probabilities ahead of parliament's post-election vote.
