This market will resolve according to the listed driver that finishes 1st in the driver standings for the 2026 NTT Indycar Series. This market will resolve as soon as the official results of the final scheduled race of the 2026 NTT Indycar Series are known. If multiple drivers tie for first place in the drivers standings, this market will resolve according to the tiebreak procedure used by IndyCar to determine the 2026 NTT Indycar Series champion. If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed driver to win the 2026 NTT Indycar Series Championship based on the rules of IndyCar (e.g., they are mathematically eliminated from contention), the corresponding market will resolve to “No”. If the 2026 NTT Indycar Series season is permanently canceled or has not been completed by September 20, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to “Other”. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from IndyCar.Alex Palou’s commanding position as the 85.5% implied probability favorite for the 2026 NTT IndyCar Series championship stems from his sustained dominance with Chip Ganassi Racing. Entering late July with a substantial points lead—around 83 markers over second place—he has secured five victories, six poles, and consistent top finishes across road courses, street circuits, and ovals. This builds on his prior three-peat titles and 2025 excellence, where superior qualifying pace, racecraft, and minimal errors separated him from the field. Rivals including David Malukas, Kyle Kirkwood, and Pato O’Ward trail significantly despite occasional strong results. Scenarios that could still alter the outcome include repeated mechanical failures, uncharacteristic crashes, or a prolonged hot streak from pursuers in the remaining six races, though Palou’s consistency has made such shifts rare.
