Julianne Moore’s commanding lead in the Oscars 2027 Best Actress market stems from the rapturous Telluride premiere of Jesse Eisenberg’s A24 dramedy *The Debut*, where her turn as a suburban housewife diving into community theater drew standing ovations and instant frontrunner status among awards pundits. Traders have priced this early critical and industry momentum at 64.5% implied probability, reflecting the Academy’s historical preference for veteran performers in crowd-pleasing showcases that also earn strong reviews. Inde Navarrette’s breakout in *Obsession* sits at 13.5% as a plausible spoiler, while Renate Reinsve, Sandra Hüller, and others trail with lower odds tied to earlier announcements rather than recent screenings. With TIFF underway and guild precursors months away, the race remains fluid pending broader festival reception and campaign traction.
