This market will resolve to “Yes” if active regular US military personnel physically enter Gaza by December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET. US military personnel must physically enter the terrestrial territory of the Gaza Strip to qualify. Entering the maritime territory, as occurred during the US’s attempt to construct a floating pier in 2024, or entering the airspace will not qualify. US military personnel entering buffer zones under control of Israel will not qualify. High ranking U.S. service members entering Gaza for diplomatic purposes (and their accompanying entourage), military contractors, military advisors, and special operation forces will not qualify. The resolution source will be a consensus of credible reporting.U.S. officials have repeatedly stated that American troops will not deploy into Gaza itself, instead positioning limited personnel in Israel for coordination, logistics, and ceasefire monitoring as part of post-2025 stabilization efforts. Plans for an International Stabilization Force faced delays by mid-2026, with few nations committing security personnel and the U.S. reducing its involvement in related centers while shifting toward civilian roles amid stalled implementation. Ongoing Middle East naval and air deployments have not extended to ground forces inside the enclave, reflecting consistent policy against direct intervention and reliance on multinational or local arrangements. These developments underpin trader consensus that U.S. forces are unlikely to enter Gaza before 2027.
