Recent record-breaking sales in the Warhol market, including the $195 million result for “Shot Sage Blue Marilyn” at Christie’s on September 18, have reinforced trader confidence in iconic Pop Art motifs like the 1964 Flowers series. Multiple canvases from the hibiscus-based series have outperformed estimates at Phillips and Sotheby’s over the past year, with examples realizing between $2.4 million and $9.35 million depending on scale, provenance, and condition. Strong demand for the artist’s serial silkscreen works, combined with limited supply of larger or multi-panel configurations, continues to support elevated price expectations ahead of any forthcoming evening auctions.
