Luka Pavlovic and Harry Wendelken, both ranked in the low 230s, meet in the opening round of Roland Garros qualifying on red clay. Pavlovic, the 26-year-old Frenchman with a career-high ranking of 184, holds an edge in familiarity with the surface and recent Grand Slam qualifying experience. Wendelken, the 24-year-old Briton who reached a personal best of 223 earlier in 2026, relies on solid recent form but faces the challenge of adapting to slower conditions and longer rallies typical at the event. With no prior head-to-head history, the evenly matched contest will hinge on movement, consistency from the baseline, and handling the physical demands of best-of-three sets on the Parisian courts.
