Recent forecasts for Cape Town on September 14 indicate a modest maximum near 16–19°C under persistent cloud cover, showers, and northwesterly winds, aligning with the market's tight clustering around 17–19°C. These conditions stem from a passing frontal system that limits daytime solar heating while enhancing marine air influence, keeping temperatures below typical early-spring peaks. Model runs show limited diurnal range due to high humidity and precipitation chances exceeding 50 percent, with historical September averages near 18–19°C providing context but overridden by the current synoptic pattern. Traders appear to weigh the balance between partial clearing potential and sustained overcast, with resolution hinging on official South African Weather Service observations.
