**National Weather Service forecasts for September 9 point to a high near 91°F at Los Angeles International Airport, with partly cloudy morning skies giving way to sunny conditions and light west winds around 15 mph.** Onshore flow from the Pacific is expected to moderate coastal temperatures despite a broader heat advisory and stronger heating inland, where readings could approach or exceed 98°F. This marine influence aligns with the market’s heaviest weighting on the 90-91°F bin, as traders incorporate model consensus favoring the cooler airport station typically used for official Los Angeles readings. September climatology shows average highs near 76–84°F, so the anticipated warmth reflects persistent high pressure and limited cloud cover. Final NWS updates and any late adjustments to the marine layer will be the key near-term drivers before resolution.
