Recent National Weather Service and NOAA forecasts indicate a strong heat wave over Los Angeles, with Wednesday night lows expected near 74°F under mostly clear skies and limited marine layer influence, elevating the daily minimum well above the 64°F historical average. This stems from persistent high pressure and warm advection, as evidenced by recent station data showing overnight mins climbing from the mid-60s to 73°F. Trader consensus heavily favors the 74–77°F range because model runs show little potential for stronger cooling before resolution, though minor forecast revisions from the Los Angeles/Oxnard office could still shift the exact minimum within that band.
