Recent National Weather Service and private model guidance for Seattle on September 8 points to a mostly sunny day with northerly winds of 5–10 mph and a forecast high near 71–73°F, aligning with the market’s close contest between the 72–73°F and 74–75°F bins. This follows a stretch of early-September highs around 69–74°F under stable high pressure, with minimal cloud cover expected to limit afternoon mixing. The 72.4°F climatological average for the date and recent Sea-Tac observations provide a narrow baseline, while small differences in boundary-layer mixing or exact wind speeds could shift the daily maximum by a degree or two. Updated model runs and NWS briefings over the next 48 hours will refine the precise peak before resolution.
