Recent high-resolution forecasts from European and global models indicate a stable anticyclonic pattern over northern Italy, with clear skies and light easterly winds supporting daytime maximum temperatures of 27–28°C in Milan on September 15. These conditions align with the market’s dominant 27°C (54%) and 28°C (40%) outcomes, as consensus model runs show afternoon peaks clustering near 28°C before cooling overnight. Historical September climatology for the Po Valley places typical highs around 24–26°C, so current guidance reflects modestly above-average warmth without extreme heat. Low probabilities assigned to 26°C or below and 29°C or above reflect tight model agreement and minimal uncertainty in the short-range outlook, with final resolution hinging on the official daily maximum recorded at Milan’s reference station.
