Recent National Weather Service forecasts and ensemble model guidance place Seattle's September 1 high in the low to mid-70s, aligning with the market's tight clustering around 70-75°F implied probabilities. A weakening upper-level ridge and approaching warm front support partly sunny conditions with light southerly winds, while marine layer influence and increasing afternoon cloud cover limit stronger warming. Historical September 1 averages near 74°F provide context, yet short-term model spread on exact insolation and boundary-layer mixing creates the narrow outcome distribution traders are pricing. Updated NWS discussions and next model runs will refine whether the peak exceeds 73°F or remains cooler.
