Official Central Weather Administration guidance and ensemble models indicate frequent showers and storms on the day, with forecast highs clustered near 29–31 °C depending on timing and intensity of convection. High humidity and reduced insolation from persistent cloud decks differentiate these outcomes: lighter or later rain allows brief clearing and modest warming toward 31 °C or above, while prolonged downpours and thicker cloud layers cap maxima closer to 29 °C. Historical August averages near 32 °C provide context, but current conditions favor the lower end of the distribution. Updated model runs and CWA briefings through August 24 will refine the likely peak.
