The resolution source for this market will be information from the Hong Kong Observatory, specifically the "Absolute Daily Min (deg. C)" the specified date once information is finalized in the relevant "Daily Extract", available here: https://www.weather.gov.hk/en/cis/climat.htm This market can not resolve until data for this date has been published. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures in Celsius to one decimal place (eg, 9.1°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Any revisions to temperatures recorded after data is initially published for this market's timeframe will not be considered for this market's resolution.Hong Kong's summer climate, driven by the East Asian monsoon and high humidity, typically produces overnight lows of 26–28°C in early July, with the daily minimum shaped by cloud cover, wind patterns, and any overnight rain. Recent seasonal outlooks from the Hong Kong Observatory indicate normal to above-normal temperatures overall, while short-range models show partly cloudy conditions and scattered thundershowers around July 9 that could limit radiational cooling and keep the minimum near 27°C. Trader sentiment remains split between 22°C-or-below and 27°C outcomes because small forecast shifts in timing of precipitation or boundary-layer mixing can move the minimum by 1–2°C, a range that directly affects resolution across the closely matched probabilities.
