Recent polls show the Parti Québécois leading at roughly 30 percent, with the Coalition Avenir Québec rising to tie the Parti Libéral du Québec at 23 percent and the Parti Conservateur du Québec at 16 percent, leaving multiple parties clustered near the threshold for third place. Regional fragmentation, particularly three-way contests in Quebec City and varying francophone versus non-francophone support, sustains this closeness, while nearly half of decided voters remain open to switching preferences before the October 5 vote. The official campaign launch in late August and upcoming debates could shift momentum among second-choice options or regional strongholds, potentially clarifying the ordering among CAQ, PLQ, PCQ, and QS.
