Paul St-Pierre Plamondon leads the implied probabilities at 71.5% as leader of the Parti Québécois, which has topped opinion polls for roughly two years and secured multiple byelection victories heading into the October 5, 2026, general election. Traders appear to view the PQ's consistent advantage over the Coalition Avenir Québec, now led by Premier Christine Fréchette at 13.2% after her April leadership win, and the Quebec Liberal Party under Charles Milliard at 14.0% as the dominant factor. Recent outreach by St-Pierre Plamondon to anglophone voters and continued polling leads have reinforced this positioning, while Fréchette's efforts to stabilize CAQ support and Milliard's acclamation have not yet narrowed the gap enough to shift the market consensus significantly.
