Carlos Ulberg’s April 2026 knockout of Jiří Procházka for the vacant light heavyweight title has left multiple ranked contenders positioned for his first defense, driving the tight clustering around 45-50% implied probabilities. Magomed Ankalaev’s prior title reign and stylistic matchup appeal keep him narrowly ahead in trader consensus, while Paulo Costa’s recent 205-pound win and expressed desire for high-level tests sustain his near-equal standing. Jan Blachowicz’s head-to-head history with Ulberg and Bogdan Guskov’s rising divisional profile add further competitive balance, with recovery timelines from reported leg procedures and ongoing roster negotiations leaving no single fighter clearly separated in the market’s wisdom-of-crowds assessment.
