Kyrian Jacquet enters this Roland Garros qualifying opener as the higher-ranked player at world No. 147 compared with Lorenzo Giustino’s 205, giving him a clear edge on the slow red clay where recent results matter most. Jacquet has posted seven wins in his last ten matches, including a strong clay-court campaign and a January challenger title in Manama, while Giustino’s form has been inconsistent with just five victories in the same span and a first-round loss in Munich qualifying. The pair met on clay in March at the Naples Challenger, where Giustino came back to win after dropping the opening set. With both players seeking a main-draw berth at the Grand Slam, Jacquet’s ranking, surface comfort, and current momentum position him as the stronger favorite in this single-elimination qualifier.
