Recent polls for Berlin’s September 20 state election show a tight contest among Linke, CDU, and AfD for the top two spots, with Linke often narrowly ahead at 19–22 percent, followed closely by CDU and AfD near 18 percent each. This positioning leaves Grüne, currently polling around 16–17 percent, and the trailing CDU or AfD most likely to finish third. The CDU’s recent leadership change to Stefan Evers after the prior candidate’s withdrawal has coincided with stable but not dominant support, while AfD gains reflect broader national trends. Traders price AfD highest for third at 34 percent, followed by Grüne at 29 percent and CDU at 25 percent, reflecting the narrow polling margins and potential for modest late shifts in turnout or voter preference among these parties.
