**Recent forecasts from multiple meteorological sources indicate a highest temperature of approximately 30–31°C for Karachi on September 4, 2026, aligning with the market’s leading 31°C outcome (48.5% implied probability).** Current model consensus shows highs near 87°F (30.6°C) under partly cloudy skies, with moderate west-southwest winds and low precipitation chances, consistent with late-monsoon transition patterns. Karachi’s coastal location benefits from Arabian Sea moderation via sea breezes that cap daytime peaks, while the weak 2026 monsoon—linked to ongoing El Niño conditions suppressing regional rainfall—has reduced cloud cover and humidity compared to typical years. This setup favors stable, near-average temperatures rather than extremes; historical September highs average 31–32°C, with recent days showing similar readings around 31°C. The tight clustering around 31–32°C (combined ~77.5% probability) reflects trader confidence in persistent steering patterns and limited intensification potential, though minor forecast shifts from updated model runs could adjust odds if winds weaken or cloud cover increases. Resolution hinges on official maximum readings, typically reported from stations like Karachi Airport.

The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the highest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=opkc
If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source.
In the event that there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket.
To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C.
This market will resolve once the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source, or by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, whichever comes first.
The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market.
Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.
