**Trader sentiment for the highest temperature in Panamá City on September 9 centers on the narrow gap between 32°C and 33°C implied probabilities, reflecting model uncertainty in peak daytime heating amid the rainy season.** Official and ensemble forecasts from sources like GFS and local monitoring indicate a typical tropical pattern with highs near 28–30°C, driven by high humidity, frequent convective clouds, and scattered thunderstorms that limit solar insolation and promote evaporative cooling. Recent observations show consistent afternoon maxima in this range, with rain episodes tied to the Intertropical Convergence Zone suppressing temperatures below clearer-sky potential. The close 32–33°C split arises from minor divergences in storm timing and intensity across model runs; stronger or earlier convection could cap the peak nearer 31°C, while delayed or lighter activity might allow brief spikes toward 33–34°C. Resolution hinges on the exact afternoon maximum reported by official stations, with updated guidance expected before market close.

The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the highest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=mpmg
If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source.
In the event that there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket.
To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C.
This market will resolve once the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source, or by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, whichever comes first.
The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market.
Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.
