Recent National Weather Service and model guidance highlight a high probability of afternoon thunderstorms across Miami on September 8, driven by elevated moisture, light easterly flow, and typical late-summer instability. These conditions favor convective cooling that caps daytime maxima, positioning 90–91 °F as the market leader while keeping 88–89 °F and 92–93 °F viable depending on storm timing and coverage. Recent days have seen highs of 91–93 °F under partly sunny skies, but increasing rain chances and cloud build-up this week have tempered expectations relative to climatological September averages near 89 °F. Forecasters emphasize that precise peak temperatures hinge on the exact hour of heaviest convection and any sea-breeze interactions, with fresh model runs due overnight.
