Recent National Weather Service and private model guidance points to a warming trend for San Francisco on September 8, with daytime highs expected in the upper 70s to low 80s under partly sunny skies and light winds. This follows cooler early-September readings near 70°F and reflects building high pressure that reduces marine-layer influence. Trader consensus clusters on 80–85°F because small shifts in onshore flow strength, afternoon cloud cover, or the precise timing of any offshore warming can easily move the daily maximum across those narrow bins. Higher outcomes above 85°F would require stronger subsidence or delayed sea breeze, while lower readings depend on persistent stratus or stronger westerlies—variables that short-range models still resolve with notable spread two days out.
