Recent July 2026 CPI data showing headline inflation easing to 3.12% year-over-year has reinforced trader expectations for Mexico's full-year 2026 average to settle in the 3.50-3.99% range, the leading market-implied outcome at 46.4%. This reflects sustained disinflation driven by Bank of Mexico policy easing, moderating wage pressures, and a weaker growth backdrop, with core measures also re-entering the 2-4% target band. Consensus forecasts from the IMF and BBVA Research anchor around 3.9% for the year, supporting the secondary 4.00-4.49% bucket at 28.5% while limiting odds on sub-3.5% or above-4.5% scenarios absent major shocks to commodity prices or global demand.
