Incumbent Drew Dilkens leads the Windsor, Ontario mayoral race with a strong trader consensus, driven by his announcement on August 20 that he will seek a fourth term ahead of the October 26 vote. The three-term mayor faces his primary challenge from former Ward 1 Councillor Fred Francis, who stepped down from council to enter the contest and currently trails in implied probabilities. Other registered candidates, including Benjamin Danyluk, Kat Pasquach, Aaron Day, and Patrick Sutherland, register as longer shots, consistent with historical patterns favoring incumbents in Ontario municipal elections. Nominations closed on August 21, locking in the field without major late surprises. Traders appear to weigh Dilkens’ established record and name recognition against Francis’s local profile, with limited recent polling or campaign events yet to shift the positioning materially before the fall campaign intensifies.
