Recent polls for Berlin’s September 20 state election show a fragmented field, with Die Linke often edging first while CDU, AfD, Grüne, and SPD cluster within a few points of one another around 15–22 percent. This volatility keeps the contest for second place tight, as reflected in trader pricing that places CDU slightly ahead of AfD, followed by Linke. National momentum for the AfD, combined with Berlin-specific concerns over housing, migration, and the local economy, sustains competition between the two largest center-right and right-wing options. A single stronger poll showing clearer separation, a major campaign event, or late shifts in turnout among urban or eastern districts could widen the gap before election day.
