Recent National Weather Service and model guidance points to a Friday high near 90–92°F in Houston, with partly to mostly sunny skies giving way to scattered afternoon thunderstorms amid southeast flow around 5 mph. Persistent moisture and cloud debris from nearby Tropical Storm Edouard have kept recent days slightly cooler than seasonal normals, supporting trader emphasis on the 88–91°F bins. Afternoon convection timing and any increase in low-level cloud cover remain the key variables that could trim or boost peak readings by a degree or two before resolution. Historical September averages near 91°F provide context, yet the tight clustering of leading probabilities reflects uncertainty over exact convective initiation and insolation on the day.
