Recent forecasts from the National Weather Service and other models point to overnight lows in the mid-to-upper 50s°F for San Francisco on September 4, driven by persistent onshore flow from the Pacific, a strengthening marine layer, and residual cooling from an early-season storm system that delivered light rain and below-normal temperatures earlier in the week. Clearer skies expected overnight could enhance radiational cooling, while typical September climatology shows average lows near 56°F. Model consensus and current conditions position the 58-59°F and 54-55°F bins as frontrunners, with lower outcomes less likely absent stronger cold-air advection. The final reading will come from official NWS observations at the downtown station, with any last-minute forecast adjustments from updated model runs likely to influence trading before resolution.
