Recent meteorological forecasts for Shanghai on September 21 indicate a high near 28–29°C under partly cloudy skies with light northerly winds, aligning with the market's leading implied probabilities for those exact outcomes. Late-summer atmospheric conditions in eastern China, including moderate humidity and stable high pressure, support typical seasonal maxima without significant frontal systems or enhanced solar heating. Model consensus from sources like the GFS shows limited spread around these values, though small variations in cloud cover or wind could shift the final reading by 1°C. Historical September averages for the region hover near 28°C, providing context for the tight clustering around the two frontrunners ahead of official observations.
