Recent polling from late July through mid-August 2026 shows Bündnis 90/Die Grünen consistently at or slightly above BSW, with Grüne at 4–5% and BSW at 4–5% across INSA, Infratest dimap, and pollytix surveys. Both parties remain near the 5% threshold required for Landtag entry ahead of the 6 September vote, with Grüne drawing on its established state-level organization and 2021 result of 5.9% while BSW, contesting its first Sachsen-Anhalt election after stronger federal showings, faces headwinds from dual lead-candidate selection and limited local infrastructure. Traders price the modest but persistent Grüne polling edge as the dominant factor determining which party receives more votes.
