Tallahassee's 2026 mayoral primary remains wide open ahead of the August 18 contest, with four candidates qualifying by the June 12 deadline and no incumbent in the race. Recent campaign finance reports show Loranne Ausley and Daryl Parks each raising over $80,000 in the first quarter, ahead of Jeremy Matlow's $38,000, while Michael Foust trails significantly; public forums and early positioning among these Democrats have kept the field competitive without clear separation. Al Lawson's limited traction aligns with lower market pricing. Upcoming debates, additional fundraising disclosures, and voter outreach in key neighborhoods could shift momentum, as the absence of established polling leaves room for late movement before the primary winnows the field.
